You're ready to build a proposal from a template, but the template is gone. Here's how to recover it.

It happens from time to time: A colleague cleaned up the Template Library and didn't realize that what they considered junk was your treasure. Before trying to re-invent the wheel and rewrite the whole thing, here's how to restore that template in a few clicks.

Step 1: Locate a proposal made from the template

You can locate the proposal either from your Pipeline or Archive

If the proposal is Won/Lost

Recovering a template requires the Proposal Editor, which can void your Won documents. To prevent that, select Duplicate from the document’s three-dot menu:

This creates a clone of your proposal in Drafts state.

Step 2: Enter the Editor

Once you've located the document, select Edit:

This will take you to the proposal's Editor.

Step 3: Save as Template

Once in the Editor, it’s time to save this as your Template. Select the triangle next to Save, then select As Template.

Finally, name your template and Save to add this to your Template Library.
